Wonderful wonderful wonderful! We are so in love with this place - it was a highlight of our stay in NYC, we want to come back and LIVE here...!!! Internet was great. Check-in and check out was strict - but an easy walk to/from Sally's shop w bags. Location fantastic, about 5 mins walk to 2 subway options + central park, natural Hx museum & more. Could not be better in almost all ways...

  • Nice apartment, just as pictured. Great quiet patio. Firm beds. Loved the location and everything went very smoothly. 11:00 check out is pretty firm...cleaners were waiting outside the door by 10:45, even on a Sunday! Would definitely stay again. It was perfect for my little family.

  • We really liked our stay at the apartment. Location was great, only a couple of minutes walk to the next tube station and beautiful Central Park. Metropolitan Museum and Guggenheim Museum are just on the other side of Central Park while American Museum of Natural History is two blocks down the street. We spent two nights in an amazing studio apartment before we moved into a two bedroom flat in the same building. The studio is perfect if you are friends or just one couple with a cosy balcony on the backside. The apartment is good if you want to have two sleeping possibilities with a door in between the rooms. Both places were nicely kept and clean. Communication with the host was friendly and reliable.

  • Nice place, neat and close to the subway.

  • Terrific apartment in the greatest neighborhood. Sally was terrific, highly responsive, and she and her staff just plain took good care of my every need. Apartment is so convenient to everything, everywhere, and even parking was easy (and that says a lot in NYC). Stayed a long time and will definitely be back again. Thanks for everything!

  • We were a group of four lodgers in our 20's looking for a convenient location in Manhattan. Once reservation was confirmed, we couldn't wait to check it out. From the moment we stepped in, it was fair to say that previous reviews had been attested. The apt. offers good utilisation space. The elevated double bed works perfectly given the high ceiling feature. Both beds are queen size and very comfy. The stairs to the upper bed felt sturdy as long as the sleepers were awake enough to climb these. The brick walls add a nice touch to the interior and temperature control within the apt. worked just fine even though we couldn't quite figure out where the radiator was located. The kitchen and bathroom are of good size. We didn't cook any meals but essential items such as kettle, microwave and cutlery came in very handy. Towels were provided although we had our own. There was a tendency that we ran out of hot water by the time the fourth person took a shower so just bear that in mind in case you are in a big company and everyone wants to have a shower. Location of the apt. couldn't be any better. Subway is merely 2 blocks away and brunch places are plenty just around the corner. Supermarkets, grocery stores, Starbucks, and AVIS car rental are within walkable distance. Neighbourhood is very safe at night and we bet chilling out at the terrace would be lovely in spring or summer. If prices were to remain just as economical the next time we plan to visit NYC, we would most likely lodge at this apt. again.

  • My wife and I had a great stay.great resturaunts around the coner central park is a half a block away I would stay here again.

  • We had a wunderful week in this apartment. The location is superb, its nice and safe area. Just around the corner you have a foodstore, you have a liquor store if you want a nice bottle of wine to drink on the balcony. And a lot of restaurants nearby. The apartment was very nice and clean, you have everything you need, We had a couple of days with snow and cold weather, but the heating worked fine in the apartment. Sally was a wunderful host. So this place is a bargain. We going to rent it again for sure.

  • My husband an I had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The location was perfect; near central park, nice restaurants and near the subway. The apartment was clean and had even has a balcony. The queen size bed was good and firm. If you encounter any problems Sally is there to help. We will recommend this place to other people.

  • Blake and his crew are very excellent host and will recommend them to everyine that I know.

  • Great location! Nice neighborhood. Right up the street is the BEST breakfast at "Good Enough to Eat"! Nice having an outdoor space.

  • We were very happy with our apartment - and we were delighted to be upgraded from the studio to the 1 bedroom. We really appreciated the extra space and the thoughtful touches like a tiny lit Christmas tree and bowls of clementines. The apartment was super clean and had all the amenities we wanted: clean linens, towels and soap. The room is protected from street noise but there is quite a bit of interior noise from other renters. If you are bothered by noise at night, bring ear plugs for sleep. The neighborhood was absolutely ideal for our family with a 5 year-old child: steps to Central Park and a playground and just a few blocks from the Natural History Museum and the Children's Museum of Manhattan. The subway was very close. The only little glitch was that the oven smoked badly. I didn't want to bother the owners with such a small thing, but it would have been nice to toast our NY bagels. :-) We would stay here again in a New York minute and hope to return! Thanks again, Blake and Sally, for a great trip!!

  • My cousin and I, two women in our early 60s, were quite satisfied with this apartment. Although the interior hall is dated and worn, the apartment itself had all we needed and couldn't be beat for price. There was a bit of noise from other building occupants, including families with children, but that was OK and probably fluctuates. I slept in the loft bed and didn't find the ladder a problem, though it might be for someone who gets up in the night. The beds were firm and comfortable, and the pillows new, clean and fluffy. Bed linens were not fancy, but were adequate. Bathroom hand towel was older, with a Sheraton logo, but our bath towels were new, bright, soft, and fresh-smelling. There was no bath mat, so we put a couple paper towels on the floor, which worked fine. These and all kinds of cleaning supplies were under the kitchen sink, by the way. The kitchen is 70s-era, the cupboards worn and with outdated door pulls, if that matters to you; it didn't to us. Though I didn't look closely, I believe there were plates, etc. for four people, and a few basic cooking pots and implements. Three dishtowels were supplied; we only used them to dry things off after being caught in last Monday's cloudburst. The bathroom was clean and smelled of bleach, which I find reassuring. All floors appeared to have been freshly mopped. Our only cleaning complaint was that more attention could have been paid to dusting, not a health hazard in my opinion. Cable and TV worked great, as did the wireless internet. At least four outlets were easily accessible for using/recharging electronics. Equipment deficiencies were minor for our purposes: 1. Fridge was non-functional, which didn't bother us since we wanted to eat out anyway. I'm sure Sally is already seeing to that right now, as she was a terrific contact, very responsive and prompt to reply to any concerns before or during our stay. We didn't report the fridge problem since we were only there for three days and didn't want repair or delivery during our stay. 2. Peephole thing on the door didn't work, so we'd have been unable to see out had anyone knocked. 3. There were no plastic chairs on the private deck (as shown in photo), so I had to take an indoor chair outside to enjoy the pleasant spot. 4. The tub had no plug, so I bought one and left it there for the next guest. 5. Tub drains slowly, which can happen anywhere. It may just need some bleach poured down to dissolve hair in the trap. Overall assessment: Neighborhood/location is great, one block west of Central Park and two blocks east of Lalo's, the café where the couple in "You've Got Mail" were to meet for their blind date. We had breakfast twice at Lalo's, it's so adorable. There's also a nice little market/flower stand on the corner of Columbus, and buses, subways and cabs run nearby. We felt very safe. I'd go back in a minute, and stay longer!

  • The apartment was nice and the location was incredible! Just a few blocks from the park, the Museum of Natural History, and near a lot of tasty restaurants (Peacefood cafe! Celeste! Land Thai! H & H Bagels!). The apartment was decently stocked - enough towels, toilet paper, and hand soap for 2 people for 4 days. There are some dishes in the cabinet if you feel like eating in (or eating leftovers) and we had no problems getting wifi in the apt. There was some confusion with handing over the key, but Sally was really nice about it. Overall it was a good visit, and I'd consider staying here again.

  • The excellent location, but the walls of the flat are very thin with not sufficinet isolation of the noise. Also additional cleaning fee 75$ in cash with no show of cleaner was a little surprising. Nora & co, Lithuania

  • The apartment is nice and comfortable, located in a great neighborhood full of shops, museums and restaurants. Sally greeted us with a smile and helped us with everything. We had a great time. I would recommend this place anytime.

  • Me and my friend spent almost a week in the apartment but were most of the time out. The environment was very friendly and warm. I was surprised that the apartment was completely empty (other than basics).. No soap or toilet paper.. Very very basic. The apartment is really close to the subway and the area is quiet (if you are into quietness :) ). Overall, it is a decent staying and sally is extremely nice :)

  • My Wife and I spent a week in this apartment. It was just what we were looking for. Nice and cosy. We were very comfortable. The balcony is a real bonus. The staff were very helpful and there were no issues whatsoever. The area is great. The block is nice and quiet and right next to Central Park. I recommend this place to anyone looking to retreat and relax after a crazy day in the Big Apple.

Grazie mille....

  • Agree with all other reviews. Great location, close to subway, steps to Central Park, easy to pick up keys. Studio is perfect alternative to impersonal/cramped hotel. Kitchen is sparse but it's NYC - who wants to cook!

  • Pros: Clean studio, roomy bedroom, lots of light, Sally is easy to work with, great location. Cons: Kitchen is small, could have used more towels. Overall, had a great time and would recommend to other couples vacationing in New York.

  • We had a great time in new York! The location of this apartment is perfect. Everything Frm picking the keys up to our last day went very smooth. Me and my boyfriend would love to stay again. We met lots of friendly people in the neighbourgood too. Felt at home our entire stay. Thanks again!

  • We recently stayed at Blake's apartment for 4 nights. It's a fantastic location and we could not have chosen a better place. A very safe area with easy access to transport and close to good restaurants, bars etc. There were also very friendly and helpful neighbours around. Staying at the apartment helped make our visit to New York a fantastic and superb experience. However, arranging the handover of the apartmt. keys wasn't quite as smooth as it should have been. Also the place was not prepared for 3 people , our son's bed had no sheets and there were not enough towels. But all was sorted out.

  • Everything was very good. The host is very friendly and nice. The appartment is small, but has enough place for 3 people (we were 3). The location is fantastic: near Central park and subway lines B,C - the comfortable way to other Mannhatan parts. On the west park street you can always hail a taxi. The shops, some cafes and laundry are just around a corner. We enjoyed our days in NYC!

  • Excellent location, walk to Central Park West, two blocks to subway, which was so easy, not as we had imagined. Shops, restaurants, everything within walking distance. Ok, the apartment does not come in at the top end of the market, but there is plenty of room for two, wouldn't really feel comfortable with more. Bed is comfortable, nice balcony area. Kitchen equipment somewhat sparce, but are you really going to want to spend a lot of time cooking? My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • We had an excellent experience with this studio. Great location, nice neighbours. Small plumbing problem, solve immediately. We will surely come back in the future. If you are more than two persons, bring your own towel and enjoy life !

  • The location is great - we are museum buffs, so it is really convenient for those, plus the subway is more or less just around the corner. The balcony is a lovely bonus (even if the neighbors are burning a little too much lighter fluid on their BBQ!). One slight quibble: although the place was clean and linens were provided for the beds (both of them), there were insufficient towels and face-cloths for three guests, and no tea-towels. Otherwise, this place is excellent and we would readily stay there again.

  • Really nice location, felt very homey and would definitely consider staying there again. A few things that should be mentioned, there were no towels at the location and that was unfortunate. Also, when I was leaving I inadvertently locked myself out of the apartment and was told I had to pay $50 to have someone open the door for me. As I was in a bind, I didn't argue but even at the very best hotels, you don't get charged for this service. I feel that given the price, the host might think to upgrade the decor, and also provide instructions on how to use the television.

  • location really great. nice to walk into the city via central park and close to the subway. No tea towels and the kitchen was very sparsely equiped. Other than that it was clean and quite nice with the little balcony. Could have done with some more detailed instructions for getting to the apartment from the airport, other than that, would definitely recommend this as great value and very good area.

  • I stayed in this apartment for a week, the place is clean and has a great location, close to the subway, central park, museums, pubs, supermarket, etc. My friends and I agreed about stay there if we decide to visit NYC again.

  • I agree with Markus J. too. The place is nice, clean and in a perfect location.

  • PROS: Location is great. Close to subway, plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarket. Safe neighborhood, no problem to walk at night. Nice little balcony to get a breeze. Although small and simple, spacious enough for up to three people. CONS: Took a while to get the final confirmation and responses from host. Only one day before arrival we got attended to, although we paid three weeks in advance.. TV only worked the first day, then it stopped (No big issue, because we weren´t into watching TV) CONCLUSION: Perfect for up to three people who want to explore Manhatten. Price of 100$ per night is a good deal. We would come again.

  • I agree perfectly with Markus J. Roberto

  • Had a wonderful time in NYC and Blake's place and staff contributed greatly to it. The apt is conveniently located between different subway stops that will get you to many areas of the city. Queens was our destination 3 of 5 days since attending the US Open tennis tournament was the reason for the trip. The apartment was clean and roomy enough for a comfortable stay. It is an older place, but that gives it charm. There is a balcony out back and we enjoyed the breeze, since we felt totally comfortable leaving the door wide open. The plumbing all worked fine and the temperature of the shower was even more accurate (in sync with the handles) than in many hotels. There was an electrical problem in the neighborhood that affected us, but Blake came out at 11PM to investigate and he and his staff coordinated with the city and the situation was resolved as promptly as possible. I didn't understand how to work the TV, but I'm not the most electronically or technologically minded person in history. A member of Blake's staff came out right away and sorted it for us, then left us detailed instructions. I would definitely rent this apt again.

  • PROS: We LOVED the location, it was ½ block from central park, close to museums, shops, and restaurants. The neighborhood was really safe; even when we walked around late at night we still felt safe. There’s a subway a few blocks away. CONS: After trying to book, Blake sent me a message stating that the price for MY days (no holidays, nothing special) was $30 more/night than the posted prices. Got an email a couple of weeks later offering the room at only $15 more/night. A couple of weeks later I tried to book again and he accepted the booking for the price listed. I really didn’t appreciate the run around; I thought this was disingenuous and tacky. ABOUT THE PLACE: located on the second floor, 2 queens, beds are comfortable, AC works great, place is spacious enough, clean, comes with an iron & ironing board, microwave, kitchen has all the normal kitchen stuff except a toaster and a coffee maker. On the down side, part of the toilet was broken so after every flush we’d have to open the tank and adjust the stopper thing. Also, we were given only 3 towels and 2 washcloths for 4 people. The top bed and its blanket were covered in cat hair and crumbs. The top bed didn’t have sheets either. It took 2 days before the bedding and extra towels were delivered. CONCLUSION: We WOULD gladly stay again armed with the knowledge that we would need to bring our own linens. I assume that they will fix the toilet as it requires replacing a simple part. What you’re paying for is the location and the place isn’t bad for the price. We had a wonderful time and were able to do it on a budget.

    1. Loft beds are gradually gaining popularity among people all around the globe. It is considered to be the best option for anyone who shares their room with their siblings. They typically come with two beds, but, there are some loft beds that come with just one bed on the top, while the base is can host a storage closet, or a workspace. As a matter of fact, loft beds are exceptionally multifunctional and save a hell of a lot of space, however not all of them are that good

    2. Beadboard accents bring a cottage-inspired style to this full over full bunkbeds set, perfect for a vacation home at the beach or to ensure that a small bedroom will still have space for siblings or sleepover guests. Made of wood, the set is available in your choice of colors and includes optional under bed storage drawers or a trundle for storage or additional sleeping space.

    3. It is much easier to add a set of bunk beds in your home rather than the cost of renovating the basement or the construction of an addition to the house. When the house is filled with too many adults can you need a way to accommodate them. You can not have enough room to make this the right way, but with bunk bed for adults that should not be a problem.

    4. I would choose the room with loft bed. That's because I love sleeping on top of the other bed. It just feels cooler when you sleep on an elevated bed. And it has nice living room, no doubt!

    5. I love the design of that fireplace. It looks rustic and homey, and it certainly complements the color of the wall very well. A light brown touch and a rustic fireplace: a perfect 2-hit combo!
